What is the Prep Service?
Mock Interview
A mock interview to be conducted as if it were a real interview via video call. You should prepare for this as you would any job interview and be ready to be challenged. The interview is heavily biased toward behavioral and competency testing.
Follow-Up Session
This is where you get the details of how you show up in an interview. You will have received all of the verbatim notes taken during the interview, and then we will walk through the assessment that I would have been given in a candidate debrief.

As Real as an Interview Can Feel
All of our mock interviews are conducted via video call. They are meant to be as close to a real interview in terms of quality of questions and follow ups as possible. Here is an example of a set of questions in an interview for a Senior User Experience Researcher in the technology industry.
The leadership principle we focused on in this question was ability to dive deep and this is the feedback that would have been used in a candidate debrief.
The candidate did a very good job of walking through their answer on Dive Deep. They displayed a high degree of retained knowledge with regard to the intricacies of their two-sided marketplace and the issues faced by those customers. As a researcher the answer was excellent. The role of researcher and product manager often overlap, and in this specific business instance the candidate was also acting as the PM. With that in mind, the candidate opened up the possibility for concern by not utilizing any numbers when discussing this specific answer. There were opportunities to do so, but none were shared. Absolutely not a red flag, but something I would want to focus on with other interviewers to ensure that comfort with Dive Deep with numerical data is demonstrated.
Behavioral questions are utilized by companies to determine if a candidate can actually do the job for which they are interviewing. Understanding what is being asked of you is as important as your answer. This is part of what we teach customers of InterviewAt.
